The Health Fair

May 27th, 2008 by cornhill11

A couple of weeks ago there was a Health fair. There was smoothies, fruit and vegetables to taste, football and much more. You had a card and everytime you did an activity you got it ticked by the teacher. If you brought a parent you got a point for your class. Thew class with the most points won a prize! Lots of people went to the Health fair and had a fantastic time. We hope they will have one next year.

The cheetah,oh the cheetah.

May 27th, 2008 by cornhill11

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

Fastest animal on earth,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

You wont find one in Perth.

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

It has so many spots,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

Lots and lots and lots.

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

The hunters of the wild,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

They are anything but mild,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

A spicy little creature,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

There smarter than a teacher.

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

The animal killer,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

They give me such a chiller,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

They kill wild deer,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

Give me such a fear.

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

Fastest animal on earth,

The cheetah,oh the cheetah,

You wont find one in Perth.

My Granny

May 20th, 2008 by cornhill11

My Grannys name is Davidina

Everybody calls her Vina or Dvina

She’s fifty two.

Her hair is dyed blonde and is flat at the front and spiked at the back.

We went on holiday to Turkey.

She bought a gold ring.

She plays Bingo at the mecca.

Often she wins a Thousand pounds.

She has a dog called Rags.

He’s a cross breed.

Her earings dangle, gold.

At night she wears high heeled boots.

She likes comedy programmes and films.

Her car’s a silver picasso.

Now, she stays in Northfield.

My Granny is the best in the world!

But I make better cheesie pasta!

The Dead Poet

May 20th, 2008 by cornhill11

We have been really lucky to get a visit from the reading bus at our school. We had the chance to visit a local art gallary and have a look at some of the pictures. We then wrote a poem or short story based on the pictures we looked at.

Hope you like my poem.

The Dead Poet is scary and mean.

His eyes are red and terriffing.

His coat and gloves are as black as a storm.

He murders people by stabing then until sunlight.

He has spots all over his hands and face.

His laugh is evil and mortifying.

Our Enterprise

May 19th, 2008 by cornhill11

We decided to make a school calender for our class enterprise activity. So far we have decided on who is doing what.

We have divided the class into five groups. There is a design team, an advertising team, an I.C.T team, a photography team and a layout team. We have also voted for two managers who look over people or help them if anything goes wrong.

We have decided what the layout is going to look like and we have made a model of what the calender is going to look like.We are planning to go around the school to show the children what the calender is going to look like. This is going to involve the whole school and we hope it will make us lots of currency.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book Review

May 8th, 2008 by cornhill11

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the last book of the Harry Potter collection. It is a really interesting book, Harry discovers lots of new things. Harry meets Dumbledore’s brother. He also gets a thing called the Ressuruction Stone. In the end of the book he has his own children who go to Hogwarts with Ron’s children.

My mark for it would be ten out of ten.

On Tuesday morning the Hopscotch theatre came to do a performance about healthy eating. It was called Stephen’s expanding stomach. It was about a boy who filled himself with unhealthy things. He wanted to win a race at school and there was an evil boy who was trying to beat Stephen, he was a bully. His mother said that he would eat himself inside out and he did.

When he was inside his stomach he met two people who looked after his body. They told him to eat more healthier and he did until this other person told him to eat unhealthy things. It was the practice race and he was last place because he was unhealthy. He talked to the healthy people again and they told him to not eat badly and he stopped eating badly.

On the day of the race he was full of energy and he started running until his friend Trish fell over. He stopped and helped her up and he didnt care about the race. He kept eating healthy and that was the moral of the story.

Making Fruit Collages

April 27th, 2008 by matt11

We have been learning how to make different colours and shades of colours by mixing paint using the primary colours. We chose a fruit and then painted paper with all the different colours that might appear in the fruit. We then made a drawing of the fruit on a different piece of paper and stuck small pieces of our painted paper in the shape of the fruit.

Click below to have a look at pictures of us hard at work and then have a look at our finished work.

Personal Research Project for Homework

April 15th, 2008 by cornhill11

We have been doing  research on a topic that we chose to do for homework. Each person in the class chose a different thing to write about, for example sea creatures, anime, dinosaurs etc.We have to do some research every week until the end of this term. We’re researching these things by using the internet, magazines, newspapers etc. We’re doing these things to build up our research skills.
